In an attempt to tie one episode thematically to the previous, Mitchell and Amy attempt modern/ first world problems like having the mill break down. It gets reminiscent of the hopeful days in October 2016, but also tackles why ladies don’t want to date you (Dose is so cute). Amy makes weird sounds and Mitchell knows the complete history of Why?.
The album opener is the song that just opens up the door to the album and this week is all about those songs. Some songs are just an eclectic choice and some songs set the mood for the entire album. Even though this is a normally quite eclectic podcast, this week really shows off how eclectic the Earbuddies can be.
Jason and Amy tackle the controversial subject of sex workers in music. Earmuffs for the kids!! There is plenty of talk about rights, legislations and depictions in the musical format. A whole range of emotions is covered but everyone can come together on Memphis’ favorite cheese product as well as Memphis’ favorite Academy Award winning rap group(explicit lyrics litter the place). Amy also gets it wrong. She chose the song “A Cautionary Song” and not “A Cautionary Tale.”
